~Fain Park, Arizona~

Update: ** NEW NARRATION BUTTON!! ** :D

This used to be my favorite desert trail to have a nice walk and see the soaring eagles hovering in the skies above. It used to be a gold mine during the infamous Gold Rush era but now it has become a public park. That is, until real estate companies decided to build a road crossing right in the middle of it and ruining all of the natural beauty of a place that was left untouched by centuries. They started building houses on the other side of the park, and now the trails have been reduced to less than a third of what it used to be.

The beautiful trail up the mountain was the first to be cut off by road construction, and can no longer be accessed from the park. It's hard to imagine they would do such a thing, but now I see lots of the native mountains being flattened for building new houses.

Well here is a piece of the park that is still preserved, and at one side you can see the pioneers house built a hundred years ago by the Fain family, who received this land for free from the government way back then and now their descendants are starting to sell it for profit. I couldn't get a better shot of their house because the area is fenced - they like some privacy. Rumors claim that once the old Mr. Fain dies, they will probably demolish the centennial house and sell most of the land.

Hope you like it and thanks for coming by!
