Get Lost is a Flash game I originally created for E4.com. You can find and play it here.

I enjoyed creating the art and atmosphere of this game, and it still holds a special place in my heart. The game play is unconventional, based on a broadly diverging exploration decision tree. A game can be over very quickly or plunge a player deep into the labyrinth.

I made a decision that there would be no save points or continuing in this game. Combined with instant death situations with little or no warning, this can get frustrating. Someone described the game as “fun but boring at the same time,” which I think is a fair criticism. This is a game that has simple rewards for the right kind of person, and also a game that doesn’t strive to make any kind of sense whatsoever.

While there are a few ways to "complete" the game, success is found in uncovering new locations and environments, and hopefully having a good time until the game exhausts the player’s patience.
