Highway Heist: The Game
GAMEPLAY:-The bottom button shows you a graph of the engine's power, which is useful for determining how to shift gears. There is also a button here to switch between AUTO and MANUAL MODE (WARNING: MANUAL MODE CANNOT BE USED ON MOBILE because it requires a keyboard)
-The top button takes you to the game.+The stars at the top represent how hard the police is trying to stop you.+Your highscore is basically how long you survived.+There is 1 cop that chases you, along with up to 3 that are oncoming.+The cop chasing you is killable. Deal damage to it via ramming from the front/back/side, but the most efficient way is to grind it against the top or bottom of the screen.+There is no end to the game. Survive for as long as you can! (or as long as you have patience for xD)+There's also a day and night cycle! If you survive long enough; if you know how to play it's actually ridiculously easy.
CONTROLS:+To avoid police, change lanes, either by pressing the numbers (1,2,3,4) or by clicking on the numbers on the screen, or accelerate. You can out-accelerate the cops.+Yellow means move to the lane while preserving as much speed as possible. You may find it very slow to turn if you are holding the gas while turning.+Red means move to the lane as quickly as possible without overshooting. Good if you need to quickly move to a lane, but it burns a lot of speed. Effect is worse at higher speeds.+Red Explosion means move to the lane as quickly as possible AND OVERSHOOT. This is for when you want to perform a side-slam.+To accelerate, hold E or the plus button, and to brake, hold Q or the minus button.+Your car needs to change gears to accelerate reasonably. In automatic mode, the game does it for you, but sometimes it may not downshift unless you are holding the brake.+If in MANUAL MODE, press R to increase gear and F to decrease gear. The car has a top speed of 200km/h that it cannot exceed.HINT: If you don't hold down the gas button, but try to make the rpm lever match with the new level you anticipate, you can change gears faster. In other words, have a perfectly timed pause just before changing gears for a minor boost.
This is my final App project for Gr12 Computer Class. It was written in Adobe Flash Professional CS6. I can link you the source code/fla file if you ask :)
This game is based off of my live-action series of the same name, which was a major project from a year earlier

This app is actually unfinished. It was rushed into production. It was supposed to have a large variety of vehicles, as well as upgrades. As a result, the game might be too easy and boring after a while. Since Flash is a tedious program for me to use, it is unlikely I will try to add these features, but perhaps I could do so in the future if you want me to.
Additionally, the controls may seem weird because it was originally designed to be played on a tablet. The manual transmission actually came before the automatic transmission, and I decided to keep it as a feature. It only works on PC because you need a keyboard.
I made all the car art. The irl-looking pictures are from my series highway heist. The background city and some other minor assets are from random google images, but otherwise I mostly made everything. The music is from both Kevin Macleod (Private Eye) and from Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005 Soundtrack. Ask if you need help finding it.

Basically, "make sure to save on the D-drive" is a massive inside joke among our computer class: Equally so, is being able to imitate that phrase in the teacher's famously monotone voice. I took all that and made a whole parody song and character in less than 2 hours.
