JohnSu Goes to PAX 2011

game

Hey everybody, I hope you like hearing someone you don't know personally talk about somewhere you didn't go yourself, because that's what I'm going to do! About PAX!

Most of it is summarized in the flash book above, but for other things that did not make good pictures (or just could not fit more elaboration), I will talk about it here.

First off, thanks to the five or so people who came and found me! Despite the paranoia I illustrate myself with, it's always a pleasure to meet you. My apologies to the people whose faces I didn't draw. I tried to take pictures of everyone I met, but I forgot to do that several times, and also I lost my camera so that wouldn't have helped anyway. *KageRyu798 gave me a hand-drawn picture of myself and some of my characters! That was pretty cool, and it was fun hanging out with you guys. Thanks!

Secondly, my apologies to the Jurassic Park guys. I played their demo and was genuinely impressed that they were doing something so different from their previous releases, and it felt like I was really playing a movie. And then one of the devs was like "Yo, you can have a free shirt if you talk about your experience on camera!" and I totally freaked out and ran away without giving them props. So here it is: !

It kind of sucked that I lost my iPod, but that wasn't too bad since it's easily replaced (which I already did!). The hard hitter was the camera. It was a cheap point-and-shoot, but I can't take those pictures again, so the only memories I have now is this PAX Report. And the swag. And my memories.

But I still had a blast and it was great seeing people playing our game, so it was an overall good trip! Also, we went home in a party bus, which was a new experience for me. I got to sit sideways! In a car! Is that much fun even legal?
