Peranakans are the descendants of early immigrants who have partially adopted Malay customs in an effort to be assimilated into the local communities. Most Perankans are part Chinese and part Malay.

The Peranakan Museum is a showcase of this hybrid culture that is still part of Singapore’s living heritage.
